Sharp-tailed Grouse

Here is a Sharp-tailed Grouse that we found in Danielson Provincial Park last Saturday.
I've yet to see a Partridge in a pear tree, so this will have to do for now :-)

If you had placed that grouse in the tree it couldn't have been posed better.what a great shot,yes it would make a perfect card.

That's an incredible composition Nick. Awesome, I have only seen this bird (rather this species) on the ground. Never perched like this...Thomas

So much better than a partridge in a pear tree. After all, there wouldn't be any pears this time of year. Once again, this is an amazing photograph.
