Gray Jay & Sora

My friend and I found this Sora Rail at a marsh near Hudson Bay while doing our songbird survey :








Here is a Gray Jay from back when I stayed at a friends cabin in early July :

Lovely pose from the Gray Jay.
The Sora Rail looks similar to our Water Rails here, apart from the beak colour. Great, detailed shot.

Wow thanks for posting that sora, we heard one while in new jersey but never got to see it...quite a bird and you captured it quite nicely!!

When you don't think you get a good shot you usually say so, but they always look so good to me. You always get a lot of the bird's personality. With shots like these I can see what you are striving for though. The feathers look like silk. These birds are lovely.
