Boreal Chickadee

I love these little guys. We don't get them in town, so you have to drive at least an hour north to find them.
I lucked out while on a recent trip up to Candle Lake & then Anglin Lake the following day.

Gorgeous little things! We see them rarely here, most Black Capped...but they're all adorable..

I have never seen these, so will be keeping an eye out from now on. Our yard is full of black-capped chickadees and yesterday I enjoyed whistling back and forth with one. They have such a pretty call.

Absolutely wonderful photos!

I saw some in my yard today among the spruce trees. They were SO difficult to photograph as they moved quickly among the deeper middle branches. What a great job you did of capturing both their images and their sweet spirit.
