I really do love this time of year. The trees and shrubs along the river are quite spectacular right now with yellow and reds as the predominant hue.
In a few weeks many of the trees will be bare and their leaves will cover the ground.
Here are some recent bird pictures, taken along the east side of the river and also at the Forestry Farm Park, where you can see some of the fall colours behind them :
As always , left click to enlarge.

Fantastic! I really have to learn how to deal with these small birds.
They are way to good looking as not to take photos of them!
Cheers, Klaus
Thanks Klaus. They will test your patience to the limit, but it is very rewarding when you get some half-decent results !
Half-decent??!!! lol These are stunning, as always. I need to get out to the park next week and see what I can find.
The soft autumn tints really set off these birds so very well! I don't think there is much that can equal the beauty of colourful autumn leaves as a background for these little birds. A lovely presentation.
Cracking shots Nick, all spot in in great settingsm they sure do test the patience but with shots like these well worth the wait.
Thanks very much everyone :-)
Your photos are stunning, crisp and bright.
Thankyou Ruth !
These are stunning! The autumn colors really set these off.
As usual, absolutely stunning. The color of the leaves really coordinate well with the color of the birds.
