All great shots, but like the Birdlady said, that kinglet is to die for! We have them singing all over our the place here, but they rarely leave the safety of the uppermost branches of the spruce and pine trees. I can usually only catch a fleeting glimpse as it flies from tree to tree. So you are either graced with incredible patience or luck, or both! ;-)
Hi NIck, This is definitively a very nice set of pictures. I love these shots of Sharp-tailed Grouse, their attitude is jsut wonderful on them. But my favorite is the one of the Ruby-crowned Kinglet. If they are as hard as the golden crest we do have, to take into pictures, then my hat is down sir, this is a perfect shot.

Thanks guys. I heard the little guy singing and made my way over to where he was, then it's all about timing :-)
More great pictures Nick.
That little Ruby-crowned Kinglet looks similar to the Firecrests we have over here.

Cheers Chris. Yep, those Kinglets are in the same family as your Firecrest & Goldcrest and are not easy to get shots of, that's for sure :-)
All very nice photos, but the Sharp Tailed Grouse is just perfect with that lighting.
