Backyards are great - so close by and so often overlooked. And you did great!
In fact so great that you're up for an award, since you're one of the blogs making my day! It's waiting for you at my site!
Cheers, Klaus
Thanks Klaus ! I shall humbly collect my award right now :-)
Beautiful birds and great shots Nick.Makes me wish I had a backyard.:)

Well, two great minds...etc. Klaus beat me to it, but you have a message on my blog as well.
Thanks to you both ! Having a yard really is a treat sometimes. As well, as being a re-treat :-)
Another great collection of photographs. I really like the way the red leaves surrounding the grosbeak compliments the red breast on the bird.
Thanks guys. Yes, the Red leaves on our Apple Tree were a bit of a bonus :-)
You sure do know your birds.. great job once again Nick.. thanks for sharing
Thanks Stacey :-) I've been studying the local species for a few years now.
I wish these kind of birds visited my yard - anything other than sparrows and hummingbirds would really make my day.
Beautiful photos!
